b. One half of the woodwinds are clasrinets. What fraction of the band is clarinets?
c one eighth of the brass instruments are tubas, If there are 240 instruments are in the band, how many are tubas?

Find a common number 3 and 5 go into, 15 is what I used. 2/5 of 15 equals 6, 1/3 equals 5. 6+5+11. 11/15 are not woodwinds making the answer 4/15.

B Going off the previous fraction, one half of 4/15 is 2/15.

C. 2/5 of 240 equals 96, 96 divided by 8 equals 12.
