How do i solve 5x-9y=-17 and 5x+3y=19 in elimation

A) 5x -9y = -17
B) 5x +3y = 19
If we multiply equation A by -1

A) -5x +9y = 17 then add it to B)
B) 5x +3y = 19
12y = 36
y = 3
we have eliminated the "x" term.
