(–7, 4)
(2, –3)

slope = difference in "y" / difference in "x"
slope = 4 --3 / -7 -2=

slope = 7 / -9
slope = - (7/9)

y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁ (all we have to do is to plug the numbers into their position)

4 - (-3) / -7 - 2
4 + 3 / -7 - 2
7 / -9

our slope is - 7/9
