Tony needs a tank for his new fish. He goes to the store and finds tanks in many sizes. He wants to know how many gallons of water each tank holds. On each tank Tony finds a label that lists the volume in quarts.

Tank 1: 80 quarts

Tank 2: 100 quarts

Tank 3: 120 quarts

Tank 4: 140 quarts

Convert each tank's volume to gallons. (1 gallon = 4 quarts)

Tank 1:
gallons

Tank 2:
gallons

Tank 3:
gallons

Tank 4:
gallons

To easily get quarts into gallons just divide the quarts by 4.

Tank 1 = 80 / 4 = 20
Tank 2= 100 / 4= 25
Tank 3= 120 / 4 = 30
Tank 4 = 140 / 4 = 35

The bold numbers = gallons

Hope this helped!
