After dessert, 2/3 of cherry pir is left. Suppose 4 friend want to share it equally.What fraction nmes how much to the whole pie each friend will get? Use the model on the right. Explain your answer

Each friend gets 1/6 of the pie. There are four friends, so they spilt the fraction in half (4 divided by 2 is 2) but this would give you 4/6 pie left. Seeing as the fraction is bigger but has the same base value, the friends each get a piece of pie. Sorry if that was confusing!
