Here, Subtract second equation from first, in order to eliminate x,
So, 10y = 40
y = 40/10
y = 4

Now, substitute the value in 1st equation,
-2x + 8(4) = 14
-2x = 14 - 32
-2x = -18
x = 18/2
x = 9

In short, Your Answer would be (9, 4)
