How is Wordsworth’s definition of poetry as "the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" a reflection of the Romantic period? Why was poetry the literary form of choice for most Romantic authors? (Worth 15 points)

Because during the Romantic period poetry was extremely strong and powerful, it held not only love and romance but words of sympathy and distress. Poetry was about everything, while people were still cautious of how they said things it didn't stop them from saying them. Poetry shows emotion in a way that some writing can't, not only for the dramatization that can come from it but from the way that the stanza's are created and the way that most people are capable of resonating with a  poem that is similar to a situation that they are facing in their own lives.
