the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc.

Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time, and climate is how the atmosphere "behaves" over relatively long periods of time.
