As part of a school project, Jack compared the rate of victimization between teens and people over the age of 65. Jack was surprised when he learned that teens are more likely to be victims than elderly people.

When you look at the rate of victimisation per age, you can find that the younger people are most likely to be victims of serious crimes (such as murder) and the older people get, the less likely will they be victims of such crimes.

therefore he probably was suprised to find that teens are more likely to be victims than elderly people.
