during a recent infestatioin by beetles 2/3 of the ash trees in a local park were destroyed if 120 trees were destroyed how many ash trees were originally in the park

there were 180 ash trees. This is because if there were 2/3x = 120 (x=how many ash trees that were originally there), then x = 120. This is because if we multiply both sides by 3/2 (to isolate x), then 120 times 3/2 = 180. Hop this helps :D
