I think a expression equivalent to that is 6x - 2 - 72 + 6x or 12x - 74. This is because if you use Distributive Property and distribute 8 (multiply 8) to the first grouped digits, then you get 6x - 2. When you distribute -6 to the next grouped numbers, then you get -72 + 6x. So now you have 6x - 2 - 72 + 6x, but you can also add/subtract the like terms together, such as 6x and 6x, which is 12x. Therefore, you can get 12x-74. I hope this helps.
