I'd say that American revolution allowed the government to take more actions than before because when they were under the British they couldn't do half of what they do now. The french revolution was when the french were filled with poor people and the British was raising their taxes and even the king can not keep up with the taxes. After the revolution the government changed by creating programs and giving food out to their poor citizens.
