What does the presence of eyes in blind cave fish indicate about the fishes ancestry?

It indicates that the fish had ancestors that did have eyes that were used to see, and then, because of natural selection and evolution, the fish evolved to not need eyesight, thus being blind, but, did not evolve so that there were no eye sockets etc.

It indicates that some of the fish ancestors didn't have good eyesight or none at all
