A recipe for cookie uses. 220 gram of butter, 110 gram of caster sugar, 275 gram of flour, what is the ratio of flour to butter in to simplest form?

how much caster sugar would be needed if you were scaling up the recipe and using 660 grams of butter and 825 gram of flour?

let the butter be a
the caster be b
and the flour be c
the ratio of flour to butter is c:a=275:220
in simplest form is 5:4
to scale the recipe we need to figure the caster ratio , so a:b:c is 220:110:275
simplified is 4:2:5
so the scale is 4:2:5 into 660:b:825
by dividing 660 by 4 or 825 by 5
you get 165 multiply it by 2
and you get 330
therefore you need 330 grams of caster to make the scale
