You would have to do at least 4 or 5 sales because if you add 50 and 3 you get 53, then you divide 250 and 53 an you'll get 4.71698113208.

Now, to isolate variable, -50 on both sides.
50-50 = 0. 250-50 = 200.
3x = 250.
250/3 = 83.3333....
So, round it up. And you get 84 sales
