Solve the system by substitution.
y = x - 6
y = -5x

You set these two equal to each other since they’re both written in terms of y.

X-6 =-5x
-6=-6x
1=x

Then plug that value of x into either equation to find y.

Y = 1 -6
Y = -5

Solution is (1, -5)
