A skydiver prepares to jump out of a plane. Explain how gravity and air resistance will affect the motion of the skydiver before and after he or she opens the parachute.

gravity would be pulling him down with a uniform acceleration of 9.8m/s^2 and air would be resisting this free fall resistance offered will depend upon the density of air.
