When heat hits cold solids it makes the ice melts especially with high heat!

The ice cube which is solid will turn into liquid water because the heat produced by the lamp is warmer than the freezers. Which means the ice particles gather heat energy from the warmer air. Therefore the ice particles have enough energy to break apart (melt) into smaller particle arrangements moving farther apart from eachother
