Andrew must spend less than $61 on meals during the weekend. He has already spent $25 on meals, with each meal costing $9 on average.

9x + 25 < 61
How many additional meals can Andrew buy this weekend? Select the inequality that includes the maximum number of additional meals Andrew can buy this weekend while still staying within his budget.

A. x < 4
B. x < 36
C. x < 9

the answer is A. x<4.
to approach this inequality you first want to pass the positive 25 over and than subtract it. (61-25 = 36) then you divide the 9 in order to leave x by itself. finally you divide 36/9 and you 4. hence your answer is x<4
