Levers overcome a resistance when a force is applied. They have a fixed support to which they freely turn, called the fulcrum. In some levers, it is possible to increase speed by applying the force over a shorter distance than the resistance is moved. A proportional increase of force is needed for this.

It's a simple machine, consisting of a rigid bar that rotates about a fixed point which is known as "Fulcrum" (most important part), It affects the effort, or force and do the amount of work
