You can apply the ^2 out of parenthesis to 3 and variables in parenthesis.

(3x^2yz^4)^2 will now be 3^2 x^4 y^2 z^6

You can't simplify it by that much besides the 3^2 which is simplified to 9, so your final simplified equation is 9 x^4 y^2 z^6.
