Find the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose legs are 8 and 15 units in length.

64 + 75 = c^2
139 = c^2
The hypotenuse is 13 units in length

a^2 + b^2 = c^2 (pythagoras theorem) , so 8^2 + 15^2 = 64 + 225 = 289 , the square root of 289 is 17 :)
