Eastern Washington Indians the coastal ones. They made the most of the environment, more or so living comfortably. They built boats/canoes to go fishing and whaling. They used the forest around them to make steady homes. Shells for jewelry.

Answer:

Since the very beginning of the History of America, the first dwellers changed their environment for instance, by extinguishing the mega-faun and establishing the first agricultural communities. In North America, the Natives were semi-nomads so that their population rate and density was low compared to ther civilizations like Mayas or Aztecs. Since those communities in North America did not have such a demographic density, their impact over the enviroment and the way they modified it was related to hunting of big mammals like deers and bisons. Also, they had crops of corn, gourd, beans and others. However, the activities of hunting and harvesting were not in such a large scale and the territory was big so their environmental impact and the way they suited it was relatively small.
