To convert a decimal into a fraction, you

for example : 2.5

you would look at the place value that the decimal ends at...in this .5 ends at tenths. so meaning "0.10"

2.5 multiply 10 = 25

you'd put that 25 over its place value number which is "10"

SO 2.5= 25/10

ANOTHER EXAMPLE:

2.55

.55 ends at hundredths which means "100"

2.55 Multiply by 100= 255

SO 2.55= 255/100

ok so first you find a number that you can multiply by the bottom number of the fraction to make it 10, 100, or 1000 or any 1 followed by 0's.

then you multiply the top and bottom numbers of the fraction by that number.

then write down just the top number putting the decimal in the correct spot. witch is one space from the right hand side for every zero in the bottom number.

hope i helped :)
