basically you can move around them
also

`(x^m)/(x^n) =x^(m-n)`
so
remember that the first number hast to be greater than 1 and less than 10

`(8.82*10^5)/(9*10^2)= ( (8.82)/(9) )( (10^5)/(10^2) )`=

`(0.98)(10^3)=(0.98)(10^1)(10^2)=9.8*10^2`
