If you repeat an experiment and the results are very different from the results you got the first time, the next step would be to

Redo the experiment. Try and see why you got it wrong. If you get a different result each time, you have a faulty experiment. If you get a stable answer, take note of why you made a mistake in the first place. Sometimes it may just be human error, other times it may be something else.
