Why is a second bee sting more dangerous than the first for a person who is allergic to bee stings?

If you're allergic, the exposure to the bee's venom each time you get stung is stronger and the allergic reactions can get worse. An allergic reaction is the body fighting itself. It is an over-reaction to a stimulus that is perceived as being harmful to the body.

The first sting just sensitized the body towards the sting while the second sting causes a flow blown allergic reaction!
