The seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth on its axis is the correct answer.

Summer starts based off each countries calendar so that can't be right. And during Summer days are longer because we have more sunlight so that one isn't right. And as the earth revolves around the sun it stays in relatively the same distance away so that one is incorrect.
