Today the teachings of John Calvin are known as "Calvinism." The main theological point advocated by the reformer is the idea of "predestination," which indicates that individuals are destined by God, before their birth, to go to hell or to be saved, toward heaven. His teachings are adopted by various churches, such as the Presbyterian Church.
