How has the landform affected the culture and the people surrounding areas?

The Brahmaputra River has its source in the Himalayan mountains. It flows through Southern tibet in deep gorges. the Tibetan people are not able to live right next to the river banks because the sides of the gorge are too steep for human habitation.
