If you tie a thread to the middle of a water filled plastic bottle and pull slowly, the bottle moves. If you pull very rapidly, the thread breaks before the bottle can move. Why?

I think when you pull it rapidly the strength of you is pulling the thread which breaks it

The speed of the pulling causes little to no reaction time, therefore the strength with speed causes the weight of the bottle to push through the thread.
