If u have 24 marbles u can make 3 groups of eight so when u take 2/8 of them away that's 16. Now 24-16=8. So your answer is 8marbles are left.

8 x 3 = 24
2 x 3 = 6
24 - 6 = 18
You have 18 marbles left.
