In the summer, in the southern hemisphere. when it is summer is the northern, it is winter in the southern. all year along, the most sun hits the equator, but when it is winter in the northern hemisphere (thats when Alaska goes dark because of no sun) there is summer in the southern Hemusphere such as continents like south america, india, africa, and places like that :)
