Then , the probability of not occuring the event A will be given by :-


\text{P(A')=1-P(A)}

The given statement : The probability that an event will occur is 0.1.

That is ,
P(A)=0.1

Now, the probability that the event will NOT occur is given by :-


\text{P(A')}=1-0.1\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{P(A')}=0.9

Hence, the probability that the event will NOT occur = 0.9
