Kris applies for the sales position and does well. However, she is laid off in late October due to slow sales. This is an example of what type of unemployment?

There are three major types of unemployment which include (1) cyclical, (2) frictional, and (3) structural. This scenario given above is an example of a structural unemployment. I believe so because Kris' unemployment was brought about by the lack of demand for that certain type of worker.

I believe the answer is: Cyclical unemployment

Cyclical unemployment refers to the type of unemployment that occurs because of the downturn of a business cycle.

This happen because the amount of demand for company's product is not large enough to support the current number of employment, which forced the company to let go some of its employees.
