What was one advantage of using steam-powered locomotives in the 1800s?

A. Locomotives were only used to transport cargo.

B. Locomotives were only used to transport passengers.

C. Locomotives relied on readily available horse power.

D. Locomotives could carry more goods than carriages.

I Think it is either D. or A. but not sure.

Please Explain

It's D.
Locomotives must have been carrying passengers at some point.
Also...locomotives definitely carried more goods than carriages

The answer would be D. Only because A says it ONLY transported cargo, which isn't true because it also transported people. It is also correct because it could carry more goods than carriages could.
