I'm pretty sure the answer is: -2+5=3 so 3 is the new integer.

Answer:

Explanation:

An elevator is two floor below the ground level. Any distance below the ground level is always measured with the negative notation.

So the location of the elevator is modeled by (-2)

Now when elevator goes up by 5 floors, the location of elevator relative to the ground level will be (+5)

Now the equation that represents the location of the elevator will be modeled by d = + 5 - 2 = +3

So +3 is the integer that will represent the new location of the elevator.
