What advantage does the membrane bound organelles give a eukaryotic cell over a prokaryotic cell?

1. The membrane bound organelles allow for multiple reactions to occur in the cell at the same time
2.The organelles are small cells in of themselves
3.The membrane bound organelles allow the cell to preform only one function

1) they allow for multiple reactions in the cell at once for example the mitochondria producing ATP for respiration and The Rough endoplasmic reticulum and ribosomes for protein synthesis

Answer: The correct answer is-

1. The membrane bound organelles allow for multiple reactions to occur in the cell at the same time.

The membrane bound organelles are the specialized subcellular compartments ( such as golgi complex, nucleus, mitochondria) that are present in the cells of eukaryotic organisms ( such as plants and animal cells).

Due to the compartmentalization, different biochemical reactions/ processes can occur at the same time.

For instance, in nucleus, DNA replication, Transcription ( DNA to mRNA) takes place whereas in mitochondria, energy in the form of ATP is produced through cellular respiration.

Thus, option 1) is the right answer.
