These are one of those PEMDAS problems! This means go in order by parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and then subtraction.

So in parenthesis lets add 2 and 6
7 + (8)2 divided 4 times 1/2

Now multiply 8 and 2
7 + 16 divided 4 times 1/2

Now divided (because multiplication and division actually go together as like
one)
7 + 4 times 1/2

Now multiply 4 and 1/2
7 + 2

And now add
9

That's your answer ^

Hope that helps!

Pemdas! You do 6+2 first and then multiply by 2. You get 16 and divide by 4, then divide by 1/2 and get 2. 2+7=9
