20 POINTS! As Khan and Jorman practice for college entrance tests, their scores increase.  Khan’s current score is 750 and is rising 8 points per week.  Jorman’s current score is 650 but is growing by 30 points per week.  Write an equation or system of equations to determine when Jorman will catch up with Kahn.  Be sure to define your variable(s).

So to find the equations for this problem you will find that multiplying the rising points by what week they have been practicing will work in both equations, then you will also find that they will both add their current score and all of that will equal their now current score (in points). I chose the following variables:
w=weeks
p= number of points
Here are their equations:
Khan's: 750+8w=p
Jorman's: 650+30w=p

Hope this helps!
