PLEASE HELP!

why are imperfect fungi considered "imperfect"? What would have to happen to change the classification of an imperfect fungus to a perfect fungus?

Imperfect fungi reproduce asexually as they reproduce by simply cloning themselves. That means they don't have genetic recombination during their life cycles. So they are likely to store genetic weaknesses in their genome.

Imperfect fungus species can be shifted into perfect fungi taxon if the sexual reproduction of this species will be discovered.
