The delete key

Clearing data on an active cell is very easy. This process will delete the cell’s contents inside without removing the cell itself. To get rid of contents on a cell, select the data from the active cell and press the delete key. Hitting the delete key will only clear cell contents and will not remove any cell formats or comments.
