suppose you are solving and inequality. Under what circumstances do you reverse the inequality symbol?

If the number is bigger so say I had 50 > 45 if 50 were put on the other side so it would be 45> 50 you would reverse it because that makes no sense

You reverse the inequality symbol if you divide or multiply by a negative number in order to solve the inequality.
