How do I solve x+2/3=5/6

assuming that is x+(2/3)=5/6 and not
(x+2)/(3)=5/6

minus 2/3 both sides

x= (5)/(6) - (2)/(3)
2/3 times 2/2=4/6

x= (5)/(6) - (4)/(6)

x= (5-4)/(6)

x= (1)/(6)

You would subtract 2/3 from 5/6 and that should give you 1/6
x=1/6
