Answer: Jane is 13 and Harvey is 39.
Explanation: 13+ 39 = 52. As simple as that.

lets x is Jane's age
3x is Harvey's age
x + 3x = 52
4x = 52
x = 13
3x = 3(13) = 39
answer:
Jane = 13 years old
Harvey = 39 years old
