One third of all Lily's dog toys are red. What if Lily has 6 toys that are red? How many dog toys would she have? Lily has dog toys.

y=all the dog toys Lilly has.
z= toys that are red.
1/3(y)=z
1/3(y)=6
3x1/3(y)=6(3)
y=18
Lily will have 18 dog toys.

You have 1/3 of red toys so you multiply 3 and 6 to get the total toys
