Well weathering is to wear away or change the appearance or texture of (something) by long exposure to the air.

Erosion is the gradual destruction or diminution of something.

Suduction is
the sideways and downward movement of the edge of a plate of the earth's crust into the mantle beneath another plate.

And transduction is
the process by which foreign DNA is introduced into a cell by a virus or viral vector.

So my best guess would be Subduciton. :)

I'd say subduction, as it makes the most sense. But none of those are very clear. Good luck
