The French Empire began to lose power. Napoleon wanted more and more power, he declared himself emperor, attacked Britain (failed), attacked Russia (failed and eventually retreated because his soldiers were sick, dying, and freezing in the harsh weather) So the world finally realized Napoleon needed to be stopped and was also failing at taking over the world so they forced him to surrender and exiled him.
