Why is DNA an important build up of our systems?

the stable backbone of dna with a negatively charged phosphate shifting towards the outside of the molecule. this charge aids in the attachment of other molecules. basically the dna double helix allows the attachment of other molecules to be stable so it wont be destroyed easily.
