In chapter 8, Pony accuses Cherry of feeling bad for them; Cherry acting empathetic because they were the no-good greasers who had no one on their sides. He thinks that she thinks she is doing "charitable work". In reality, this is not the case at all. After this Pony and Cherry makeup. Pony remind her that they both see the same sunset. This means that whether you are poor or rich, everything besides your wealth can be the same.
